A New Review?

Adrien J.

It has begun. Our journey into 3D modeling is finally here. The program that we are suppose to use is Autodesk 3ds max. I was planning on using Clara.io becuase I did not have a system that could run 3ds max. Fourtunately I my mom was able to purchase a laptop that can run 3ds max. I am excited that I get to work with 3ds max but I am a liitle nervous.

Flashbacking to the end of last school year, this is where my 3d modeling began. Like now we were doing online school back then. I had used Clara.io for the entire unit becuase once again I did not have the proper resources. I did well with clara but since this was on online software, it was limited to certain feature. It did not have nearly as much as 3ds max did. With that being said I still managed to use what I had to create equivalent pieces of work. I have watched the tutorials of both Clara.io and 3ds max and I have found that some things are similar while other are not. I feel like I will be able to figure out 3ds max once I start using it but that is not the issue.

Like I mentioned before, I have watched tutorials on 3ds max however the thing is you can watch videos all you want but some things you can't actually get until you try them. For me, I am more of a experimental learner, meaning that I have to try something out to learn. Since I have no experience whatsoever in 3ds max I am concerned that I will having to start from scratch even though I watched the video. Another thing that concerns me is that I will fall behind trying to figure how to run 3ds max. I know I will understand the software eventually but it makes me a little nervous. There is a bright side to this though. My teachers was kind enough to extend the deadine on our first assignment to let us learn 3ds max. I just hope that it is enough to let me learn everything I need to know for 3ds max.
