Recently I finished a project working in Adobe animate. It wasn't a particularly hard project for me, however what made this project interesting was the fact that it was my first time working in Adobe Animate. I must say that already I prefer working in Adobe animate for animation projects because that layout is so much simpler for me to use. So for the project I did in Adobe Animate(AA) I had to make an apple skate across the screen while the sun and some clouds move in the opposite direction. For everthing that I animated I created a separate layer which allowed for things to be really easy when it came to animation.
I am still really new to AA but if you do multiple animations on one layer it get confusing for you and sometime the computer. Anyways, so for the apple I began by animated each of the limbs to create a skating motion. I turned the limbs into movie clip symbols which put the apple's skating movement on a separate timeline. This complicated things when I went to export, however a solution was eventually found. After I finished the apple's personal movement I went to the main timeline and animated the apple to move across the screen. A cool thing I noticed about AA is that I could alter the shape of the path the apple took to a certain degree. After the apple animation I animated the clouds and sun, all separate layers, to move across the screen. I used a different animation for the clouds and sun. I don’t remember exactly what animation I used but it just shows all the different types of animations you can use in AA. Once I finished the sun and clouds I finished the project however I do believe that I got a lot out of that project. AA is now my preferred animation program because you can make more complex animations and also maintain a higher level of organization.
