Lets Talk Favorites

Adrien J.

So today I will be talking about my favorite pieces of art so far. This piece of art is called Personality. Luckily, it is located in the selected works section, so if you want to look at it, feel free. I will first start with my thinking behind the art titled Personality. The idea behind this work of art was to show all the things that made me who I am. In the artwork, you can see the sun, a dog, a game controller, etc. These are all things that I love. There were also words in the artwork that read personality is what makes you. Now its a bit cliche, but the theme to this art was your personality is unique and beautiful, so don't try to go change something that is already fine as it is. The colors were also very important to the theme I was trying to make. The white head represented a pure person. The blue/purple gradient was used to show that personality is cool yet powerful. A lot of time when into planning how this artwork would turn out, and thank goodness it turned out just like I wanted to.

Now that I talked about the thinking on this project, let me talk about the physical side of this project. So I used a program called Vectornator to create my art. I first started with a plain black box to use as a background. The background was going to make the subjects "pop out." the next thing I created was a white circle, which I then shaped into an oval to match the shape of ahead. The next thing I did was add a bunch of symbols that represented my personality. Next, I created a triangle-like shape to make the expression that the symbols were flying out of the head. The last thing I did was add text that matched the gradient of the triangle-like shape. Overall this project was not very difficult however I do think it shows some of my best and most creative work. I hope you find my artwork interesting and stay tuned to see more of my artwork.
