As I sent back, on my comfy bed reflecting over the past school year I can't help but smile. Sure this was not an ideal year, and it still not over,(Pandemic) but there is a sense of confidence in me. I look back and see how fortunate I was to reach goal of mine this year. Getting my first job, founding a new club, and setting a new PR in my running. I am also proud of the amazing work I have done in Digital Design 2. Starting off I did not have a PC and I knew absolutely nothing about 3DS Max. As the year progress however, I got me a computer able to run 3DS Max and I worked my but off to learn as much as I could about the program. With that being said, I still have a long way to go, and who knows this might just be a career for me. Anyways I going to go through the best and the worsts of my DDA 2 course and give you my hopes for the future in this course. Starting off with the bests, I believe one thing that was great this year was getting a new computer. I love this computer and I would not have it if it wasn't for online school. I got to learn so much about 3DS Max through school and also exploring. I have found some pretty unique futures on 3DS Max. One of my favorite things to do in the program is lights. Lighting seems so cool and I love how you can change so many settings with the lights to make your project unique. While I did enjoy lighting, that wasn't the case for every unit. In particular I struggled with UVW mapping because it took a lot of work to get the map on the model the way you intended to. Even with that being said at least I learned something from the experience. There is one unit we will not be able to complete this year to to the struggles of online learning. That unit is animation and rigging. I know a little about animation, but hopefully I will learn more in the future. Now earlier I told you guys that I would reveal my hopes for next year. I have many hopes for the next school year, but the one that relates to this class is this: to continue having fun and learning as much as I can about game design. It sounds really corny, but to be honest this year wasn't terrible and I would not be mad if next school year is just like this one.
