So on the week of March 9th, I began video editing. I have began the basics, however I like it a lot more than animation. Not throwing any shade to animation. There is one small problem the popped up as we began the unit: corona virus. Now as I sit here and write this blog, that small problem for me had become a huge problem. Currently I am out of school for the next month or so. So many questions come up as the thought of being out of school for this long comes up. How will we proceed with this unit, will there have to be some adjustments to our learning, and more importantly, will we learn everything as if we were still in school. I could sit here and talk about what could happen all day long, however I will just stick to what has happen.

So far, I have completed 2 video editing projects. Not very difficult but required listening skills and effort. The first project I did in school however the second project I did outside of school. Now normally I would not be able to do my work outside of school because I do not have the program, however Adobe had given me and my classmates special access during this pandemic. It is really cool that I have access to all these apps and one day during this long term cancellation of school I hope to make an original piece of art using the software. For now, I will stick to my assigned work. Speaking of, as for the second project outside of school I created a thematic montage using a series of royalty free clips and royalty free music. The theme for my video was trains. The theme was chosen quite by accident however in the end it seemed to make a good thematic montage. So as the video progresses, I chose clips where the trains would move faster and faster. This gave the project the effect that I was building up to something. That along with the music created my first ever amazing project using Adobe Premiere rush that was done from home.
