"A game is a brewin!"

Adrien J.

I have just completed my Game Design Document for a new game I'm am calling crystal craft. To briefly explain, crystal takes place on a far away planet wear conditions are hostile. Despite these awful conditions, a intelligent species (Omalian) thrives in an isolate city. They are able to survive on this planet because they have force field protecting their city. Unfortunately after many years of use, the force field needs a new energy source to keep functionality. A young omalian ventures outside the city to find elementals crystal rumored to be spread across the land. These crystals can power the force field and keep the city safe.

This is a fantasy and adventure type game. The player will being playing as the young omalian finding the crystals. There are certain restraints I would like to have on this game. Firstly this is a single player game, meaning there will be no online multiplayer features. The player will being playing in third person allowing them to view there character throughout the game. While locating the crystals, the player will have a certain play area that they will remain in. They will not be allowed to explore the land instead of completing objectives. There will enemies in this game, and player will have the ability to attack. The time it take to complete the game is dependent on how long it takes the player to locate and bring back all the crystals.

My aspirations are high for this game, and I am not sure if I will be able to complete all the planned feature before the deadline. One of my major advantages is that I have already created a game that will be similar to this one. If I am not able to fully complete the game, I am at least confident that I will have a game in which the player collect a set of crystals. My current skillset is knowing how Unity functions, and learning how to obtain free online assets. While it may not seems a lot at the moment, both of these skills can significantly cut down on creation time. For example, rather tan spending 10 minutes learning how to move my game objects, I can immediately start working.
